how to auto populate full worksheets

is it possible to auto populate an entire worksheet, i know it is easily done
for individual cells. what i want is for more than one person to be able to
enter data into a workbook without either the sharing violation occuring or
only the first person to open the document to be able to work on it.

any ideas?
