Hi there,

I'm new to this site and quite new to Access (using 2003) but am a quick learner. I'm currently teaching myself how to create an Access data base for client information at work.

In the database I have a field for FIRST NAME and a field for PREFERRED NAME. In cases where a client goes by a name other than the one on his/her ID we'd like to have record of it. I would like the PREFERRED NAME field to auto-populate with the info entered into the FIRST NAME field... this way I can manually change it only if necessary.

I would appreciate any tips!

Thanks, Reesa
