Auto-lookup in datagrid

Hi all,
I want the user to enter a number in the first column of a
datagrid, and have the 2nd and 3rd columns fill from an
sql lookup (memberID, surname, firstname scenario - enter
memberID and name appears).
Can someone point me in the right direction?
