I have a problem with the speed of the auto logon feature in Windows XP. When
enabling the auto logon in the registry for a specific local user account, it
takes approx 2mins "thinking" about loading the user profile before doing
anything. This is th esame with any profile on the machine. If I disable the
auto logon the profile loads in under 10 seconds.
I have tried going through the usual cold start proceedure, disabling
startup items etc but it still happens when auto logon is enabled but fine
without.
The OS is XP SP2.
