After years WinXP has stopped logging me on automatically after boot. How do
I get auto logon back?

Run "control userpasswords2"

Or download Microsoft's TweakUI.

If you search Google or this newsgroup you will see autologon asked about
once a week or so

Start | Run, type "control userpasswords2" Select the account you want
to logon to automatically. Then uncheck the box "Users must enter a
user name and password to use this computer."

Or do the same thing with TweakUI.

I believe you can do this via "Tweak UI" . Simply google it and download this
powertoy. I've use this to do exactlt what you seek. It also has other useful
Tweaks.

If you can't get the cotrol userpasswrods2 to run in the command window,
then use TweakUI available here:

Then it's highly likely that you spelled something wrong. Be sure to
remove the quotation marks, for example.

Or download and use TweakUI.
