Auto installing printers on IR

Hi folks,

A laptop running Windows XP fully patched. Some printers. Infrared.

Put it all together..

The printers involved are all printers that Windows XP has the drivers
for (Microsoft's own internal ones). You can manually install the
printers fine. When I aim the IR port at 2 out of 3 printers, the
drivers install automatically and it's all set to print. On the 3rd
printer, the drivers do not install, and it only acts as if it wants
to send a file to it.

The HP Laserjet 2100 and the HP Laserjet 2200 install fine, but the
HP Deskjet 990cxi does not install.

As I said, XP has the drivers for this printer. So, I'm a little
confuised as to why it's acting like this.

Anyone have any ideas why it should work sometimes and not others?

Thanks,

Andrew
