Auto fill is populating the field with unknown web
addresses. It is only one address and I am unable to
locate the source.
History is clean.
Temp. files...clean.
I have used an Ad/Spyware program and I am still unable
to locate the source. I have read a similar problem and
solution dealing with loopback files but I have been
unable to locate anything.

Help

Hi,
This is probably coming from the index.dat file in the History folder.
Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/fre...ory-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder (and the index.dat file) and a new one will be created when
you restart.
Or the History folder can be deleted manually:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

On a somewhat related note, look over the security tips at:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
http://www.aumha.org/a/parasite.htm

Hope this helps,
Don
