auto file transfers

The windows scheduler seems to be able to "backup" but
all I want is to transfer files from one PC to another.
Some transfers will be over a local LAN and others will
be remote via modem-modem connection
(not via internet). Ideally I would like this all to
happen automatically at pre-set times that I designate.

Not sure how to handle the RAS issue, but for the network file copies, I'd
use robocopy in a batch file and use task scheduler to run it.
