auto-disconnect

I re-formatted C: drive and I re-installed Win2K Pro using default settings
(auto-disconnect default appears to be 15 minutes).
The \Shared Folders\Sessions\ in the Computer Management shows users
connected with the idle time is greater than 15 minutes.

Does it matter how the user connects (map network drive, shortcut on
desktop, etc.)?
Is there a service that must be started for auto-disconnect to take effect?

I read MSKBA-138365 and the setting seem to be correct: the "autodisconnect"
and "enableforcelogoff" are set in:
HKLM\System\ControlSet001
HKLM\System\ControlSet002
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Tracey
