My CD-ROMs will not detect new CDs that I put in them.
This has not always been the case but for the life of me
I can't figure out why it's doing it now.

If I insert a new cd windows will not notice that it's a
new one and will still show the old cd that was present.

Any ideas?

The problem is Auto-insert Notification. CD ROM burning programs like Nero
turn this off. The best workaround is to press F5 key to refresh screen.

You may need to edit your registry if you haven't done it yet
Go to regedit> local machine>system>controlset>services> cdro

on auto run, change the value to 1
