For some unknown reason, when I delete a message from my in basket folder,
it is sent to the delete items folder and instantly deleted. Before, the
deleted items were deleted from the delete folder when I closed Outlook
2002 - not instantly. How do I restore to that functionality?
Thanks.

Are they deleted or do you have a view selected that hides them?

Thanks, that was it, although I do not recall changing the view.
