auto date changing

I have word 2007. When I open a doc I had saved earlier, the date changes
automatically. Usually, when I open a doc it's to reprint a copy with the
original date. How do I stop this? Thanks for any help.

Hmm... Another fellow named Neil is having the same problem. He posted only
11 minutes before you did with almost exactly the same question. Please see
