Auto Complete Recipient does not always work

It seems that auto complete only suggests an address for someone who has been
emailed more than once. Is there a way I can force Outlook to "remember"
every address I type in a send box?
Thanks

It already does. Provide convincing evidence that you are the sole exception
to how autocompletion works. You've posted no information.

OK. Yesterday I sent 2 emails to people to whom I have never written and
whose emails are not I my contact list.

Today I went to send a second email to one of the people and his email did
not appear in the list of suggestions so I had to retype his details (using
exactly the same format & adress as the first email). 10 minutes later I had
occasion to email him again and his name was the first suggestion in the auto
complete list.

To test this I tried to send an email to the second person. Again there is
no listing for him in the autocomplete.

I have now experimented again, and you are right - now every new email I
enter is instantly remembered.

The intermittent nature of the problem has been the reason I haven't asked
the question before. Is there some procedural thing I may be inadvertenly
doing that causes this?

Thanks

Then what you meant to state was that Outlook is not remembering entries
between sessions. You have a corrupt profile. Create a new one.

Thank you Russ, I didn;t know exactly what was going on, that's why I asked
the question. I will create a new profile but FYI before I replied I
experimented again, created a new email with a fersh address, not only shut
down Outlook but rebooted the computer and on restrating outlook created a
new email to that address and founfit at the top of the sugestion list. I
have no idea why.

Thanks for your valuable time.

You did not give the new profile a unique name.
