I want Windows Mail to check for e-mail both when I enter it and also every 5
minutes. If I check the box to have it check every 5 minutes along with the
box for checking when entering or leaving, it will NOT check when I first
enter Mail. If I uncheck the box to check every 5 minutes, then it checks
when I first enter like it should. Is it suppose to work this way? Stupid

Try ten minutes instead of five.

Nope. Turns out that I needed to change the drop down box to say "connect if
not connected " or something like that. I never thought of that since I have
a high speed connection and technically I'm always connected. Once I changed
that, it was fine. That should really be addressed since it gives the
impression it is really for dial-up accounts.
