By backing up the pst's and other data to some other location?

PS Storing a pst over a network/lan is not supported by MS as it can lead to
corruption of the pst

The problem is when i auto archive i dont change anything in the default
outlook folder location, however its seems as if the process is not reliable
enough, when reformatting some users PC it would the Archive folder would
have nothing in it.

Archive functions on the modified date setting.
If you recovered an Archive which was found to be empty then either the
origonal Archive settings were incorrect, or the user created a new Archive
at some other location.
The Archive can be located in any convenient place on the local system.
