Auto-Accept issues when used by users

Has anyone run into issues when users (as opposed to
resources) use the Auto-Accept option? We are finding
(Outlook 2003, Exchange 2003) that if an organizer changes
an already-accepted meeting (by someone using auto-
accept), it will see the update as a conflict and will
auto-decline the meeting.

Also, can anyone comment on whether this is standard
behavior with Exchange 2003/Outlook 200: - if a user
deletes an email (without accpeting the change)that is an
update to an already-accepted meeting, the meeting is
removed from the user's calendar.
