My terminal server is installed "ScanShare Pro Tools for Citrix
MetaFrame/TSE". When I select [Acquire...] or [Scan...] from image
applications' menu, I get a message "You have no authority to use any
Scanshare Pro. Please contact your Terminal Server Administrator for
Authority," and no image being scanned. What does that message mean and what
should I do? I mapped the terminal client machine to the Scan Share through
the "ScanShare Pro Utility - TSE" program, but not works.

What version of MetaFrame? I'm not familiar with the scan-share program
you're referring to, perhaps the TWAIN Redirection feature in MetaFrame 4
Preview Release...

I use Remote-Scan on Citrix MetaFrame 3.0 and it works great. No special
rights or permissions were given to non-admins to use their local scanners
with this software.

Hi!

I use Metaframe XPe FR3. If I make an ICA connection it works, but if I use
NFuse not works. I need to use NFuse. What is the difference?

1. What doesn't work when you logon via NFuse?
2. What version of NFuse?
3. Have you considered updating your NFuse to the current Web Interface?
4. What client are you using when connecting via NFuse, i.e. Win32, Java,
Web?
5. Still haven't answered my question about what scanning program you're
using, as TWAIN Redirection is NOT supported unless using a 3rd party program
specifically designed to work on TS/Citrix, i.e. Remote-Scan.

Hi Patrick!

The third party tool for scan that I use is Netcore Scan Share Pro Utility
for TSE. It works in TSE, says Netcore, but it works really if I use the ICA
client instead the Web Client. I think I'm using Nfuse Classic and Web Client
sure. The scanner (Fujitsu Fi4120C) that I'm trying to set up is attached to
a Netcore Scan Share Pro. TWAIN driver for Fujitsu is updated too. (sorry, my
english is a little poor)

Your English is more than adequate to convey your problem. I'd contact the
vendor to see what the problem is. Perhaps the connection uses a port other
than 1494 or 3389, that is getting blocked by a firewall.

Like I said, we use Remote-Scan which works great, and costs about $180 US,
per connected scanner.

The current setup I have is a Wyse XPe based thin-client, with an attached
USB 2.0 Xerox DocuMate 262 Scanner. This connects to a MetaFrame 3.0 farm
wunning Windows 2000 Server.
