Auth Mgr cannot save/open auth store on shared network drive

I'm running Authorization Mgr on XP Pro (using the 2003 Admin Tools).
Authorization Mgr works fine but cannot access (i.e. create or open) xml
authorization stores on publicly-shared network drives. All my other apps
can access files on these drives.

Any idea what's going on? Many thanks.
