only one of my sound inputs works out of my sound card
since i installed XP. The sound card has the Aureal 8830
chipset. The quadrophonic audio worked great under Win
98. I read that that the SP1 patch had some driver
updates for aureal cards. I installed it but still don't
have quad audio. Please help me.

Did you look under Sound and Audio Devices in Control Panel? Checkout
all the Tabs ( Volume, Sounds, Audio, Voice and Hardware.

Buy a new card - Aureal went bust in '97. Anyone with any sense would have
bought a new card long since. Oh, I've just noticed, you want email. Well
you'll get it all right - lots and lots and lots of it, but not the sort
you're expecting. I hope your AVP is up to date...

Asking for emailed replies is extremely rude and shows you for what you

yeah, hey, sorry I'm not up to date on my manners in this
group. as far as the stupidity of posting an email
address... well i guess i was just overtired after
getting of work at my 2nd job and being awake for 72
hours and just squeezing in a post between the five
assignments on my desk. But I guess I'm just lazy. Thanks
for pointing it out to me. I'll be sure to spend more
time and energy practicing e-etiquette so I don't so
grossly offend you and the fine people of the group.
