Auotmatically add first name to batch email

Here's something I'm wondering about. I need to send an email "form letter"
to a large group of people at work. The corporate address book has everyone's
first and last names linked with their email address, so in the "To:" list
they appear as, for example, "Smith, Bob; Jones, Nancy; ..." rather than
"(E-Mail Removed); (E-Mail Removed); ...".

So my question is, in my email message, can I somehow add a field that would
add each person's first name to the message? So that the message to Bob Smith
would begin "Hello, Bob..." while the same message to Nancy Jones would begin
"Hello, Nancy...".

This has the feel of a mail-merge type of solution, but I'm hoping there's
some pre-defined field within Outlook that I can access and add to the
salutation.

Thanks,
James

Nope, mail merge is what you'll need to do.
