I have a server running 2000 and I have it hosting a
shared folder which all users have read write access to. I
am trying to omplement auditing on this shared folder from
the location that it is shared from on the local drive. I
believe I have set up all the auditing entries correctly
but I do not have any entries in the sercurity log when I
log in and delete files. Am I looking in the right spot
for the logs are they in the server machines logs or in
the logs of the machine that performed the deletion
Thanks for your help

Hello,

Here is an article that you can use to verify that auditing is set up
correctly.
301640 HOW TO: Set, View, Change, or Remove Auditing for a File or Folder in
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=301640

All events will show up in the security log

Thank You.
