Hello everyone!
I have a problem with my audio. I've read through other posts to see if
possibly someone else wrote about this but as of yet haven't located one...

My computer says that my audio is working properly, but when I try to play
something it does play, but no sound comes out. I had this happen on my
laptop when I did the Service Pack 2 for Windows XP and there was something I
downloaded from Microsoft that fixed it. However, I cannot find that fix
anymore! Does anyone know what I can do?

Try reinstalling the Audio Driver. Should be on the Software CD that came
with the Laptop.

I apologize for my confusing post...the problem on my laptop is solved.
HOWEVER, the problem still exists on the computer at my office. I don't have
the software to reinstall things because it was given to me. Any suggestions
on a fix that doesn't require reinstallation? The reason I ask is because I
know I downloaded a fix when SP2 first came out, but now I can't find it.

You probably have a audio chip integrated on the Motherboard if it's a
Office PC. Get Belarc Advisor. It' free and it
will give you an inventory of what is on the PC. From there you can
look for a driver. Just google the audio chip you
have ie RealTek AC' 97 etc.
