Oh man, i just pray that someone can help me with this!
I download from my Dv camera in Dv-Avi format, everything is fine, but when
i go save it as a movie file and play it back (aprox 1 hr. long), the audio
and video are
about 2-3 seconds out of synck. It seems a lower resolution helps the
synckronization problem a bit better, but i loose alot of my origanal
quality, even with (high quality video/ hq NTFS) These programs are supposed
to be goin on cable tv and I'm been messing with them for almost a year now.

Please help!!!

Don't know if I can help you directly, but I know what I would do....
Your project sounds like it is toooooo long and probably too complex placing
a lot of demand on your computers resources. I'm assuming that all the
movie and audio works correctly in the preview within Movie Maker....and that
the problem exists in the Movie that you render. I would load up my saved
project (project1) and check it out to be working correctly in Movie
Maker.....keep project1 whole and do not overwrite it. Then on the timeline
pick a spot about halfway thru your movie and delete all sound and video to
the right of it....right click on the video and choose delete. When all you
have remaining it the first half of the project save that as PROJECT2.....and
then render (save) it out as a movie....try it in High Quality-NTSC.
Check it out in media player to see if it works ok, with sound and video in
sync.
If its ok, go back into Movie Maker and 'edit' 'clear timeline'.....and then
file, open, project1 again.....this time eliminate the first half of the
movie....until you have the portion after what you have saved.....now save
this as PROJECT3.....and then save this movie also. Now you have two
movies...first half, and second half. Also, you have PROJECT1 (whole
movie), PROJECT2 (first half), PROJECT3 (second half)....

If your movies work ok (hopefully because they are shorter and less
complex)....then you could try to bring them in one at a time and brought to
the timeline in Movie Maker....and see if you can render that whole movie out
again. If neither of those work, then I'd suggest rendering it out in one of
the reduced or best fit file sizes.

Hope this is understandable....its late and i'm rambling! ha ha Good luck!
