I am having audio problems with MSM messenger. My son and I hooked up
webcams and did everything the wizard directed. It all worked OK in the
wizard and we get the video, but no audio comes through either computer. Any
ideas on how to get the audio working?

Both use XP and when we invite the other one to accept an audio conversation
it tries to connect for a while and then just gives up.

Audio seems to be broken for alot of people using winxp & msn messenger 6.

this is what i do now for a workaround. contact yuour party using msn
messenger or whaterver else messenging program. have your ip address ready
and also your other party's ip address. if you don't know go to this web
page and it will tell you http://www.whatismyip.com/

"To open NetMeeting from XP just click start/run type "conf" (without ") and
press OK. or look here "C:\Program Files\Netmeeting\conf.exe" = make sure to
run the audio & video setup's to set things correctly b4 you connect for the
1st time.

To call your friend you need his IP. To find it he must open NetMeeting
click help/about, the last line in the dialog box that opens is his IP. If
it is a fixed one it is always the same one otherwise it changes each time
he connects to the internet.
Write this IP to the first line in NetMeeting (under the menu) and press the
phone button.
I think he has to have NetMeeting open to get a message that you are calling
him.
Good luck."

"C:\Program Files\Netmeeting\conf.exe"

Same problem here

What is more frustrating it worked for a couple of days and then stoped.

Both clients have reinstalled 5.0 and it makes no difference
