Audio Will Not Work!!!

A few days ago my audio just stopped working completely. my speakers are
still turned on but no sound will come out and i cant play any tracks!!! i
think someone might have uninstalled the programme but i cant find anyway of
installing it again because i dont have the CD for it

Jess, don't know if someone is messing with your system. But I would
find out what Sound chip or Card you have.
Go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System
Information>Components>Sound Device. Look in rt
pane top line. It should tell you there. Type the result in Google.
