Hi all,

Does anyone has a recommendation on a good audio utility?

Something that will play back audio files of various formats and perhaps do
transformation too?

I found BASS DLL which seems REALLY good, but you have to pay for it. Is
there something free? NCT Audio Studio looks really good to.

Any other suggestions?

Lucas,

This is a big wish from a lot of persons, see the messages from Larry
Serflatten. For me would that be as well a better addition to VBNet than a
lot of things that will make from VBNet a kind of C language as in the next
version.

Sorry no answer, however I wanted to show my thought about this.

I don't know if there are any free components available, but I just wanted
to say that NCT Audio Studio works very well and can do many audio tasks.

I ended up using BASS DLL and it's great.

A bit convoluted (the methods are labelled a bit odd... and methods use a
whole bunch of flags) but for personal projects its free : )
