Check to see if your line input is muted, which it is by default when XP is
installed. I have a Creative Audigy and that's how it comes up after
install. It should stay unmuted once you unmute it for the first time. I use
a Roland SC8820 module on mine, but I feed it's output through a cable setup
I made, into the Audigy's AUX input, which I had to enable using the mixer's
advanced settings.
