i have xp pro i cant access the advanced volume control in the volume
control menu, i am trying to change from digital to analog can anyone help
when i drop the options menu i can see it but i cant access it, it wont
highlight

David, when you rt click on the Volume Control in the rt corner of the
Taskbar do you get a menu with two items?
Adjust Audio Properties & Open Volume Control? When you select Open
Vol Control>Advanced>do you get a
box you can check for S /PDIF enable?

Did you install the audio drivers for the sound card or for 'on board
sound?'
Make sure you have the correct version of the drivers.

that is the problem when i open the option box on the volume control i can
see the advanced control selection but i cant highlight it to get to the
options
