Audio Hardware

I had some problems with my windowsxp while tyring to
download pictures from my digital camera through the USB
port
It does give me the message "New hardware found" but when
I tried to open the folder containing the pictures it
gives me a message "the program is not responding"

So I used the recovery disk to reinstal windowsxp but the
problem still persist and worst I have lost the
AudioDriver and i donot know how to reinstall it but it
kept asking for a file which is untraceable both on the
hard disk and on the CDROM supplied.

Please help
