I have figured out that my XP supports MIDI, WAVE. and MP3, but not WMA.
What formats are supported in XP? Would upgarding to 2003 improve things?
Also audio only workks on IE browser.

This depends on what software is installed on a particular instance of XP.

Normally, I would expect WMA files to play correctly on any PC, XP or not,
that has Windows Media Player installed.

Similarly, RealAudio files should play corectly on any computer that has the
Real player insalled, QuickTime files on any computer that has QuickTime
installed, and so forth.

To help visitors cope, many designers place links for obtaining the
necessary player software on any page that plays audio.

Again, the software you use for page editing has no effect on sound file
compatability. It all depends on what players are installed on the visitor's
computer.

viewed with... When I insert and hyperlink a sound file the result is a full
page of the player, then the music. Amny way I can just have the music when
they press the link? I really appreciate your help.
