I think there is hardware distribution ampliphers but they are about 199.00
to 500.00. They able you to filter audio and video before you feed it into
your PC. Its main use is repairing old VHS or 8mm before you convert it to
digital format. You can even make two separate tapes from different cameras
have the same feel for editing.
Serious Magic I believe have software that does what you want too but again
high price. You can even adjust the audio with a laptop while you record
into a wireless mic and a boom at the same time(a must for weddings and
corporate jobs) you get one shot so you can mess it up and you can even
blend audio/video between two cameras. I believe its around 1500 to 2000.
