Audio conversation in MSN

Hello,
I am running MSN 6.1 on XP. MSN text based chat works but
audio conversation cannot be estabilished; trys to connect
but then gets disconnected.
I have tested the microphon and the speakers in MSN and
they work.
There is XP firewall set. Is there any services needed to
run audio conversation in MSN?
Your help is appreciated.
