I am using PowerPoint 2007 and still find it confusing compared with
PP2003..

I much prefer the menu item display in 2003 compared with the banner of
2007.

Be that as it may, my problem is figuring out how to embed music in a PP
file

and be able to send it in an e-mail where others can hear the music while it
is

displaying the slideshow.

I am able to embed the background music and can play the slideshow and

listen to the music on my computer but when I send the same file to others

they can't hear the music.

What am I doing wrong?

PP evidently refers to the location of the music file when it is playing on
my

computer but doesn't actually embed the music file. Is there any way to do

that?

Thank you.

Hi Jack

To fix the music problem see here:
Sounds/Movies don't play, images disappear or links break when I move or
email a presentation
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00155.htm

As for moving to 2007, yes it is a steep learning curve but IMO it's worth
it for all the new eye-candy :-). This guide may help:
Where have all the commands gone?
