Audio background 2

My apologies for the disjointed message sent earlier.. I'll try again

I am using PowerPoint 2007 and still find it confusing compared with
PowerPoint 2003. I prefer the menu item display in 2003 compared
with the banner in 2007.

Be that as it may, my problem is learning how to embed music in
a PowerPoint file so others can hear the background music when
they open the slideshow.

As it is now, I can embed the background music but it only plays
from my computer. When I send it as an attachment to others they
aren't able to hear the music.

What am I doing wrong? PowerPoint evidently refers to the location
of the audio file when it is playing on my computer but doesn't embed
the music file into the PowerPoint presentation.

An added question. What formats can be used for the music files and
is one better then the other. Is .wav better then .wmv?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi Jack

See my reply to your previous post :-)
Oh, and only .wavs embed (you will find info such as this & much more in the
article I linked to). And you may want to check out Plays For Certain:
http://www.playsforcertain.com/ which again I'm pretty sure is mentioned in
the article..

Jack,

I am a new user to PowerPoint and I am working with version 2003. I am
trying to put together a picture slide show for a friend and I would like to
add music to the back ground. The slide show is long enough for three songs.
How can I have the music start when slide one starts and have the music
continue until the end of the slide show?

Thank you for your assistance
