In SLIDE SHOW mode only, a slide appears immediately before the slide
with the audio/animations. The slide shows only an Audio Icon; I
have HIDE Audio Icon turned ON. How do I get rid of the spurious
slide? or is it a bug in the software??

PowerPoint 2007

Right click the thumbnail then click on Hide Slide.

If possible please rate my posting.

Thanks.

The "mystery" slide does not appear as a thumbnail, but appears ONLY
in SLIDE SHOW.

It sounds as though you've got an audio clip on the slide set to play on
click rather than automatically, and the other stuff on the slide animated
to appear only after the audio clip finishes.

If you don't want the audio icon to appear on the slide, simply drag it
off of the slide into the surrounding gray area.
