Is there anything like an audio amplifier? I have a XP Pro Sp1 laptop and when I watch movies on the plane, they never seemt o be loud enough, even when i've max out the audio on the laptop & playback software.

Creative makes several nice external sound cards, but they still require
external speakers. I am guessing you are looking for a way to boost the sound
internally. Check to see if the program you are using has a EQ. You can add
boost that way.
