Hi,

After i has stopped working, device manager shows Windows Mixer with a
yellow mark. Creative diagnostics say that Wave and Direct Sound 3D fail.

My config: MSI K8T Neo2 FIR, Athlon XP 64 3000+, onboard sound disabled in
BIOS.

Install the newer drivers for it, you can get them from
http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/

Also, if this doesn't work, turn off your PC, unplug the power, remove (be
sure to touch the metal casing of the tower to remove static before
removing), and reseat the card. If that doesn't work, try another slot, and
if that doesn't work, your card may be on the fritz.

After following Tom's advice regarding new Creative drivers also reinstall
DirectX 9c.

Problem solved by complete drivers cleanup, reinstall, and web update.
On MSI forum, it appears that several ppl using the same mainboard, had the
same problem.
