My Audigy2 ZS sound card seems to be causing a problem whenever I play DVDs
on my PC (not alway though). Sometimes the picture/sound stutters constantly
during playback and other times it plays fine. The same thing used to happen
on my old PC which had an Audigy 2. If I chnage the audio settings in Power
DVD to "2-speakers" instead of "SPDIF out" then the problem goes away, so I
am sure its something to do with the sound card setup.

I am using win XP.

What kind of speakers are attached to your Audigy2 ZS.
