with templates, and ease of use, allow for mods of templates etc..

AFAIK there's not a lot of choice. An app like this requires constant updating to keep up with
changes the auction venues make. This app is well liked (I haven't tried it):

2. Selling the source code to someone else who wants to continue the project either as freeware
or as a pay for use tool.
3. Spending the time to analyze the source code in house and transforming Auction Submit® into a
pay for use tool.
4. Come up with some other creative solution.
