Thats where you went wrong, lettting XP see both the
original drive and the clone on the first boot after the clone.
You should have done the clone, from the rescue floppys
or the bootable distribution CD, AND THEN PHYSICALLY
DISCONNECTED THE 80GB DRIVE AND LEFT JUST THE
160GB DRIVE CONNECTED, for the first boot after the clone.
Its not absolutely essential to do it from the rescue floppy
or the distribution CD, but doing it that way makes it easier
to ensure that you dont let the first boot of XP after the
clone see both the original and the clone.
Just do it again now, and do it like that.
