Hi - I followed your advise from the 19th and cleaned up all my e-mails on my
server. This morning it started downloading the same 50 messages three
times each? Do you have any suggestions as to what else I need to do please.
Do I need to change my mail settings?

Your e-mail provider had their system crash and they used a backup to
restore it. That also meant that they restored all those old e-mails in
your mailbox. Use the webmail interface to your mailbox and delete all
those items in the Inbox folder (if using POP) or in all the subscribed
folders (if using IMAP).
