attendee not importing

I have an excel sheet which I am importing into my
Calendar. One of the columns in the spreadsheet is for the
required attendee of the meeting.

All my mappings are correct. Everything is importing
properly EXCEPT for the data from the column which
contains the required attendee. This is not coming over at
all. The names in the column are found in a public contact
folder exactly, character for character. Is there
something I am doing wrong? Do the names in this column
have to be in my personal address book before they are
allowed to be imported as attendees into my calendar?
