I had tried to change the default worksheet template and
somewhere along the way I messed things up real good.
Excel will now attempt to open all of the files in My
Documents; regardless of what format they are.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I have even
tried the Windows Install Clean Up program. But nothing
seems to work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Michael,

Under TOOS/OPTIONS... in the GENERAL tab, there is a field
called "Alternate Startup file location". Did you fill
this in? Delete whatever you have in there; it must be
left blank!
