I attempted MS Article 307545 which provides steps to
correct a corrupt registry but when I complete step one
and then log in as administrator I either get a message
that my Windows XP needs to be activated or I get a blank
light blue screen (not blue screen of death) and then my
computer just hangs there. Can someone help me with this?
i am trying to complete the steps in the article to
restore my computer to a previous restore point so I don't
lose my data. Please only reply with helpful answers and
not stuff like format the drive (duh!!) and start all over
or something like that. Thanks.
