Attachments load too slowly from Outlook

Hi, Gang. My workplace utilizes MS Exchange Server. My boss has
noticed that when she receives an Outlook message with, say, an Excel
spreadsheet attached, the spreadsheet takes a really long time to
load. The document appears, but the cursor sort of freezes as stuff
goes on in the background. She says that this has just started
happening. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
