Randomly overnight my options for attachments seem to have changed. Now I
click on the paperclip icon to attach, the attachments appear as icons with
the text of the email. The form for "attachments" under the "Bcc" line has
disappeared.
Any suggestions on how to get attachments to stop embedding would be greatly
appreciated!

Somehow your email format has changed from plain text or HTML to Rich Text.
Change it back.

Two things affect where attachments are placed.

1) Message format (e.g. If message format is set to Rich Text, then
attachments are placed into the body of the message.)

2) Using Word as your e-mail editor
