I am using OL 2003
When I attached an file it is placed in the body of the message, it use to
apper in an attachemnt bar the same as the "to" "Cc" bars att he top of the
message.
How do I get it to work again, so it appears in the bar and not in the
message body?

Change your Email Format (Tools-Options-Mail Format) back to either Plain
Text or HTML.....
