Running OL2007 on desktops. Email is Exchange Server 2003. More often then
not when I try to open an attachment (word, excel, pp) while on the email,
the app opens but the attachement never loads. Closing the app there is a
message box that reads The systen cannot find the file specified. The apps
(Office 2007) are on the desktop.

I can save the attachment to my local or network drive then open it either
by selecting the file from explorer of via the app - open.

The interesting thing is that it happens with internal emails from fellow
employees where the attachment is already on the network as well as from
external emails.

Any ideas?

You may need to clear out the Temporary Outlook files folder:
