Hi all,

I've been having two problems for a little while now with Windows Mail.
I've searched through various forum posts about it but none seem to fix it
other than 'Uninstall Norton' or 'Use Live Mail'. I certainly don't want to
uninstall Norton and I'd like to keep using Windows Mail if I can. So I
thought I'd start a fresh post and see if anyone has any other suggestions.
Here's the two problems I have:

Opening or saving an attachment either crashes Windows Mail or restarts
Windows Mail.

I cannot change the font from Arial 12. This problem is beginning to effect
other programs now!

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards,

Matt.

Your second problem is caused by having the IE8 beta installed.
Uninstall that beta, which will revert you back to IE7.

Regarding the first problem, if you are running Norton Antivirus, a recent
update caused problems with opening attachments. Try updating
Norton again. I understand that those who called Norton tech support
got a free update to Norton Antivirus 2009.

Thanks for replying. I'll give the Norton update a go. As for the Font
problem, I've only recently upgraded to IE8 and I've had the problem for a
couple of weeks before that.

Regards,

Matt.

You're very welcome.
Both IE8 beta 1 and beta 2 caused the font in OE/WM/WLM to be frozen,
but usually to Times New Roman.
