I tried to send an *.xlsx file and noticed a window telling me
"blabla...could not be send because of specials formats...something". So I
converted the file into an *.xls. The same happened. Then I copied the whole
thing, inserted only the numbers, not the formats and saved it as *.xls. The
same mistake happened.
What can I do to solve the problem. I really do need a solution because I
have to send this file to my school, for I'm doing a homestudy!
Thanks for help!

That doesn't sound like any Windows Mail error message.
Can you copy the exact error message and post it here?

When you attach a file, it can't be open in any other program.
Also, make sure you have enabled attachments:
Tools, Safety Options, Security, uncheck "Do not allow attachments..."

I'm sorry for writing back that late - but my first problem is, I couldn't
find your answer for I thought I would get a note if somebody would answer my
post :-(
Second problem is, I'm using the German version and I can't find the "Tools".
But here is (the German version of) the error message:
Mindestens eine Datei konnte nicht gefunden und nicht in die Nachricht
eingefügt werden. Möchten Sie die Nachricht trotzdem senden?
In English something like: At least one of the attachments couldn't be found
and couldn't be inserted into the mail. Would you like to send the mail
anyway?
Have you heard of this kind of error message?
Thx for help !!!
Elke

You need to close the concerned file in Excel; then the e-mail programme
should send without complication. I had the same problem!
